I have the same recipe & everyone loves it. I usually use tropical fruit cocktail. It adds a little "zing" that's really delicious.

I have made this using an even easier method. I rolled out a package of refrigerated sugar cookie dough. I made it with blueberries and strawberries in the design of our flag for July 4th.

going to try this weekend. I think using fresh fruit will be both healthier and tastier. Will let you know!

This recipe is AWESOME! I've been making it for years & all summer long. I use a bagged sugar cookie mix, bake it on a disposable round pizza pan & I use crushed pineapple(drained) on top of the cream cheese. Then add all kinds of fruit. Great Recipe! recommend to everyone!

For those concerned about the healthy aspect of this, after you do the sugar cookie crust, try using fresh fruit such as strawberries, kiwi, grapes, blueberries, and pineapple instead of the canned fruit. Canned fruit in light syrup or its own juice is not bad, though. For the cream cheese, there are low-fat versions out there that should work just fine, too. I did not have to cook or thicken my mixture, just did the cream cheese with about 1/4 cup of powdered sugar and some pineapple extract, and it tasted great and spread well on the cookie crust. You could also use a peanut butter cookie crust, which would have the element of peanut butter for additional healthy ingredients.

This is for National Healthy Kids Day? Not much healthy in this recipe. WAY too much added sugar and 1/2 c. butter?

What a wonderful pizza. A great one for the grandkids when they come over for a visit. Or for special company. A save for me.
