What a light, refreshing treat! This one is perfect for a morning bite or as an after dinner sweet. Try adding just a little bit of lemon juice to the cream cheese mixture for an added punch of flavor.

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter, room temperature
1/4 c
shortening
3/4 c
sugar
1/4 tsp
salt
1 1/3 c
flour
1 tsp
cream of tartar
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1
egg
8 oz pkg
cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 c
sugar
1 c
juice drained from canned fruit
2 Tbsp
cornstarch
any chunked fruit {pineapple bananas. strawberries peaches, etc}
1 can(s)
fruit cocktail, canned

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine butter, shortening and sugar
add egg, mix well
add dry ingedients
Spread in greased cookie sheet
Bake @ 400 deg. 8-10 min. and cool

Mix cream cheese w/1/2 cup sugar spread on cooled crust
Drain fruit, combine juice with cornstarch cook unitl thick, add fruit
Place on creamcheese and crust
Refrigerate 2 hrs before serving

QUICK AND EASY. OUR RECIPES ARE CLOSE BUT YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CRUST. I USED THE SUGAR COOKIE PRE-MADE.
