This is a recipe that is in a Boston Kitchen Cookbook I sent away for many years ago.I have made it many times and my family really loved it.
brown sugar, light
all purpose flour
2 1/2 c
apples,peeled,cored and sliced
nuts chopped (opt)
1Place beaten egg in large bowl and add sugar,brown sugar and vanilla.Beat well.
2Add flour, baking powder and mix well.
3Add apples and mix well by hand.
4Add nuts and cinnamon and mix.
5Spread mixture in a 9 inch greased, not floured,pie plate.
6Ba ke in 350 degree oven for 30 min. Cool. Cut into wedges and serve with icecream or cheese.
