My mom made this every year at Christmas. It's one of the things that makes the holiday season special. It's so thick you should eat it with a spoon.

Ingredients

3 large
eggs
3/4 c
sugar
1 tsp
cornstarch
1 qt
milk
vanilla to taste

Step-By-Step

1Beat eggs well; add sugar with cornstarch. Stir in milk.
2Cook in a double boiler, stirring constantly. Cook until the custard coats spoon.
3Cool and add vanilla to taste. Keep refrigerated.
