Kathryn's Favorite Mocha Icing

I was lucky to get this ICING recipe from the Laurier Café in MONTREAL QUEBEC. They are renown for its best ever Rotisserie chicken.
A good friend of mine, Kathryn who is originally from New York speaks very well French as her second language and we have much fun at talking together.
We love to go to different places and we both were amazed at the "Museum of Ava Gardner in Smithfield in North Carolina. One of our favorite places to eat is at the Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary and rue Claire in Durham.
Over years this icing became her favorite .

pinch tips: How to Fold Ingredients

3-4 c
powdered sugar
5 Tbsp
cocoa powder
6 Tbsp
3 Tbsp
5 Tbsp
warm coffee
1 large

Directions Step-By-Step

Cream together shortening and butter until smooth.
Add egg and warm coffee mix well.
SLOWLY add the powdered sugar and cocoa a little at the time until mixed.
Keep adding powdered sugar until you reach the consistency that you want.
This icing is soooo good on a vanilla cake. Refer to my other recipes for vanilla cake.
