Mash together the almond paste, butter and sugar until well mixed.
Unroll sheet of refrigerated crescent dough, cut into three strips. Roll 1/3 of the almond mixture into a long rope, wrap one of the crescent strips around. Repeat with remaining mixture and strips. Braid three strips together.
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until browned. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
