Sweet and Salty Strawberry Pretzel Dessert

This is a summer favorite in our house. It's such a great play on sweet and salty, crunchy and creamy textures.

Ingredients

2 2/3 c
coarsely chopped pretzels
1 1/2 stick
butter, melted
12 oz
light cream cheese
1 1/4 c
sugar
1 large
package of frozen strawberries, sliced
3/4 pkg
large cool whip
1 large
package of strawberry jello
2 c
pineapple juice

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix pretzels and butter and press into a 9"x13" pan. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes.

Remove from oven.

Beat cream cheese and sugar together, then spread over the still warm pretzel crust.

Let mixture cool.

Dissolve the strawberry jello in boiling pineapple juice, add the frozen sliced strawberries. Pour over the cream cheese mixture.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until gelatin is set. Before serving, spread cool whip over the strawberry jello layer.
