pinch tips: How to Cream Butter & Sugar


6 c
sliced and peeled apples of your choice
1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp
ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
2 Tbsp
granulated sugar
1 pkg
refrigerated sugar cookie dough

Directions Step-By-Step

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix apples, brown sugar, flour, 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon and the lemon juice. Toss together making sure the apples are coated well. Put mixture into an ungreased, deep dished, glass pie plate.
Using a teaspoon, drop sugar cookie dough evenly over the apples. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the sugar cookie dough.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
*NOTE You could do other variations of this recipe using mixed berries, strawberries, peaches - etc.!!
