PLUM COBBLER,an HEIRLOOM 40s RECIPE-SO-EASY!

This is just what I was waiting for. I had a taste to make my recipe, "BLUEBERRY COBBLER" on JAP, but using plums instead.
Actually using any fruit or berries would work very well. This recipe is different than most cobblers, hope you will give it a try, I am sure you will love this version.
My friends say from 1 to 10
it is a 10 plus! Luv them gals.

- 1/2 stick
- 1 c
- 1-1/2 tsp
- baking powder
- 1/2 tsp
- 1/4 c
- sugar.....or less
- 3/4 c
- 2-1/2 c
- cut up (slice) plums.. then mixed with the last two ingredients.
- 1/4 c
- 1/2 c
PUT IN a 9x13 cake baking dish.
To cover the bottom evenly.
Gather all ingredients needed in the recipe.
Pre-heat oven to 350.
Slice the halves into slices.
You will need 2-1/2 cups of slices.
Add the sugar and water.
Mix gently. Set aside.
Mix in the milk till there are no lumps.
Pour this mix into a measuring cup to pour over the melted butter evenly in the baking dish.
Put dish to bake in the oven,
at 350 for 45 minutes.
Surprise! the cobbler dough,
bubbles up to the top.
Covered with the delicious plum syrup!
I had my spoon and dish ready...Yummy!
Hot and Delish.!
Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
