DIY CINNAMON CHIPS (SALLYE)

Ingredients

2/3 c
granulated sugar
3 Tbsp
graound cinnamon
2 Tbsp
vegetable shortening
2 Tbsp
light corn syrup

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 200ยบ F

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Spray paper with no-stick cooking spray

Place all ingredients in a medium sized mixing bowl, and mix tugether until totally combined and crumbly

Spread the mixture out on the parchment paper, flattening out with another sheet of parchment paper or the back of a spatula until you have formed an even rectangle about 1/4" thick

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the mixture is hot and melted together.

It shouldn't be crisp.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely

Using a pizza wheel, slice the cooled block into small square chips about 1/4" square.

Store in an airtight container in pantry until ready to use.

These should keep for a long period of time if kept in airtight container.
