CARAMEL ORANGE GLACE (SALLYE)
- 2 Tbsp
- 1/4 c
- packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp
- orange juice
In top pan of double boiler, place butter, sugar, orange juice and salt and stir with wooden spoon until butter is completely melted and all ingredients are well blended.
Cook, stirring occasionally, for approximately 5 minutes until mixture is nice and smooth. (It will thicken slightly as it cooks)
This is excellent as a glace for cakes or fruit pies. It is also slurpingly delicious as a sauce for a big bowl of ice cream.
