Balsamic Black Pepper Strawberry Peach Popsicles

You may be surprised by the unique flavors incorporated into this rather sophisticated popsicle, but independently reduced balsamic vinegar and black pepper intensify the fruity flavor of the strawberries. So together, they knock it out of the park.

I recommend rotating out the second fruit to continually interest your palate.

Ingredients

2 c
fresh or frozen strawberries
1 c
fresh or frozen peaches, diced
1/2 c
red wine
1/4 c
fig balsamic vinegar
1/2 c
dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp
vanilla
1 tsp
lemon extract
1 tsp
freshly cracked black pepper
1/4 c
heavy cream

Directions Step-By-Step

Place all ingredients, save the heavy cream, in a sauce pan.

Cook on medium heat until the fruit is soft, then puree with immersion blender.

Allow to reduce by 25%. Remove from heat.

Whisk in heavy cream.

Portion into popsicle molds.
