Sweet peaches shortcake

A simply easy, delicious peach shortcake recipe.

Ingredients

1/3 c
light brown sugar
1/2 stick
butter
1 lb
ripe peaches, sliced
1/2 lb
ripe peaches, sliced
1/4 c
orange juice
2 tsp
cornstarch
1 can(s)
refrigerated biscuits
whipped cream for serving

Step-By-Step

1Bake biscuits as directed, let cool, split biscuits in 1/2. In lg skillet, over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar until bubbly.
2Add peaches. Cook, stirring for 5 mins. In lg cup, whisk together cornstarch and orange juice. Stir into peach mix. Cook 2 mins or until thickened.
3Place biscuits on plates. Spoon some peach mix onto each biscuit half, top w/ biscuit 1/2. Spoon more peach mix over biscuits, dollop w/ whipped cream.
