Apple Pear Bake: Rustic or Fancy…

When company was coming on short notice, I had some lovely, ripe pears & apples but not enough of each for any specific dessert recipe & no time for a run to the store. I also hate to waste food, so I winged it. I love a “Brown Betty” or Fruit “Crisp Bake”, and tried to cut the fat content, by using the applesauce instead of butter in the crust. No one even noticed!
I also had a bit of leftover Lemon Glaze, and it added a nice layer of flavor, but warm with vanilla ice cream would make me happy too! It was a big hit!
