Ingredients For salted peanut cookies

  • 2/3 c
    shortening
  • 1 1/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 2/3 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    salted peanuts, coarsely chopped

How To Make salted peanut cookies

    In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking soda and salt gradually add to creamed mixture. Fold in peanuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2-inchrd apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until browned. Remove to wire rack to cool. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
