Divine Divinity

zona liming

I always make this at Christmas time and take it to potlucks, give to mail carriers, friends, retirees, shut-ins, and they look forward to it - in fact, if they miss out, I am reminded. People say it can't be made in rainy weather. That is false. I make it whenever I desire. It is written up in the church minutes that I brought my "wonderful divinity". It is truly divine! I have a friend who asked me to show her how to make it. She came with the ingredients and we made four great batches in less than 4 hours.

I can't get my picture to add on the recipe but am sending it separately.

No-Cook or Other

2 c
white sugar
1/2 c
white corn syrup
2 Tbsp
warm water
egg whites .. beaten well
1 tsp
favorite flavoring (i like almond or vanilla)
3/4 c
nutmeats (cut up a bit)

Directions Step-By-Step

Put first three ingredients in pan and bring to a boil (268 degrees) -- A candy thermometer is VERY important.
Once the batter stands up well, add flavoring. Not using the mixer, add nutmeats using wooden spoon.
Using several teaspoons drop the mixture on wax paper. It will make three dozen very good sized pieces. Or making smaller you can get four dozen.
