Ingredients

CAKE

2 c
sugar
2 c
flour
1/2 c
margarine
1/2 c
crisco shortening
5 Tbsp
cocoa, unsweetened
1 c
water
2
eggs
1/2 c
buttermilk
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
vanilla
pinch
salt

ICING

1/2 c
margarine
5 Tbsp
cocoa, unsweetened
1/2 c
milk
1 lb
10x sugar
1 tsp
vanilla
1 c
pecans, chopped
1 c
coconut

Step-By-Step

1Sift flour and sugar in a large bowl.

2In a saucepan, bring margarine, shortening, water, and cocoa to a good boil.

3Pour over flour and sugar mixture.

4Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

5Pour into a greased 13x9 pan.

6Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until cake tests done.

7Start making icing about 5 minutes before cake is done baking.

8Bring margarine, cocoa, and milk to a boil in a medium saucepan.

9Remove from heat and beat in remaining ingredients.

10Pour icing over hot cake.
