I love Peanut butter and chocolate together. I took my favorite brownie recipe which was tweaked,and combined it with a Peanut butter swirl filling. these brownies are deep dark chocolate,and thick with a Peanut butter swirl mingling through out them. They are surely decadent. Grab a tall glass of milk and dig in!

Ingredients For peanut butter swirl fudge brownies

  • PEANUT BUTTER SWIRL
  • 1/2 c
    smooth peanut butter
  • 4 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp
    of a beaten egg
  • FUDGE BROWNIES
  • 3/4 c
    unsweetened cocoa powder ( i use ghirardelli)
  • 1 stick
    plus 2 tablespoons of butter or (1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons)
  • 1 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    nuts of choice optional

How To Make peanut butter swirl fudge brownies

    Fudge brownies: Heat oven to 325 degree's. Line an 8x8 inch pan with foil or parchment paper. Spray liner with vegetable oil spray.

    beat all of the ingredients together for the Peanut butter swirl filling,and set aside.
  • 3
    combine butter,cocoa,sugar,and salt in a stainless steel bowl,or sauce pan. Boil water in a pan. Place bowl over water,and stir until butter melts. After the butter melts. Keep stirring until the chocolate mixture gets lumpy and a bit thicker. Remove from heat to cool down some.

    Add the vanilla,and add eggs 1 at a time. Stirring between each addition. Incorporate well. Add the flour and chocolate chips,and beat with a spoon well. This is not a box mix so stirring vigorously is fine. add nuts if desired.

    pour in to the 8x8 pan and smooth level. Place 6 spoonfuls of peanut butter mixture scattered evenly on top of brownie batter. Take a knife and swirl mixture. Do not over do it,or you'll mix it in to much.

    place in 325 degree oven bake for about 45 minutes,or until pick inserted in sides is clean and pick in center has a few crumbs on it. Cool and cut in to squares. (note: if making the fudge brownies with out the peanut butter. Bake about 30 minutes)
