These taste similar to the Lofthouse cookies you buy at the grocery store, only much cheaper & you get a lot more cookies. They do not taste exactly like them, but close enough that my family loves them.

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
sugar
1 c
butter, room temperature (2 sticks)
1 pkg
cream cheese, room temperature (8 oz)
1 Tbsp
vanilla extract
2 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
baking powder

FROSTING

1/2 c
butter, room temperature
1/4 c
milk
1 box
powdered sugar (16 oz)
1 tsp
vanilla extract

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 10 X 15 inch back pan, or jelly roll pan, with cooking spray. Set aside.

2In large mixing bowl, cream sugar, butter, and cream cheese. Add vanilla and mix well.

3In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix to combine.

4Spread mixture into prepared pan, it will be sticky (wetting your hands a bit helps keep more in the pan & less on your hands).

5Bake @ 350 for 20 - 25 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.

6Cool completely. When cookies are cooled, mix together all frosting ingredients, and frost cookies. Top with colorful sprinkles, optional.
