This is the first cookie recipe I learned from watching my mother make it, and the first one I taught my kids, now my Son Fernando makes it several times a year and its a big hit where he works.
This is a FUN recipe a CHILD can make this add or delete items as you like to make fun to eat...

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Great crunch, alive! This flavor combo is downright perfect... with chocolate on top.


3/4 c
chunky peanut butter
3/4 pkg
chow mein noodles any size available in your area
1 pkg
marshmallows (small bag)
1/4 c
butter or margarine
1 pkg
butter scotch morsels (any size ) add more or less according to taste
3 medium
chocolate candy bars melted to drizzle

Directions Step-By-Step

Melt butter in 5 qt sause pan swirling around to coat sides and bottom.
Over Low Heat,Add peanut butter and 1/2 bag of butterscotch morsels. Stir till melted.
Add marshmallows stirring quickly and add chow mein noodles, and all of the other items stirring quickly.
Just untill mixed well.
Drop onto wax paper your choice of size.
Cool an hour.Drizzle with chocolate making a big dollop in the middle. Cool and put in a covered container,enjoy!!

Not a fan of these. I'd seen them posted several places over the years and finally decided to give them a try. Didn't quite set up and we thought the texture was very weird. I wouldn't make these again. I'll stick with my oatmeal/peanut butter no bakes from here on out I guess. Thank you for posting the recipe though.

I hate to be a dissenter but I found these to be a little bit too gooey for me. They never quite set up and I thought the texture was a bit weird. I appreciate you putting it on here as I had seen it posted other places before and was curious to try them. The kids wouldn't eat them and the neighbor gave them a thumbs down and he usually likes anything peanut butter. I'll have to stick with my oatmeal no bakes, I guess.

I experiment a lot so the noodles I add according to how crunchy I want them , sometimes add choc. Chips too!
