This recipe came from the back of the coconut bag. These are probably my favorite cookie at Christmas. Most macaroon recipes have sweetened condensed milk in them, which makes them very sweet and very sugary. That is why I like this recipe, because it doesn't have the sweetened condensed milk. These are easy to make and you can get a lot on one cookie sheet.

Ingredients For my favorite macaroons

  • 1 14 oz
    bag, coconut
  • 2/3 c
    sugar
  • 6 Tbsp
    flour
  • 4
    egg whites
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt

How To Make my favorite macaroons

  • 1
    Mix coconut, flour, sugar and salt. Make sure coconut is throughly mixed. Add egg whites and almond extract, to coconut mixture, mix throughly. Drop by teaspoon onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 20 min. Let sit on cookie sheet about 2 min. Move to wire rack to cool. Store in air tight container.
