These fruit little squares are a sweet,and easy dessert to bring along for potlucks and BBQ's. Yet elegant enough for bridle showers, weddings and teas.

Ingredients For lime squares

  • CRUST:
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar, (i have also done this using powdered sugar)
  • FILLING:
  • 4
    eggs
  • pinch
    salt
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 6 Tbsp
    fresh lime juice
  • 4 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2
    drops green food coloring

How To Make lime squares

  • 1
    Mix first 3 ingredients and press into 9x13inch pan. Bake 18 minutes at 350 degrees.

    Beat eggs, add remaining ingredients. Pour over hot crust. Bake 22 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle powdered sugar over top after baking.

    Allow squares to cool filling will firm up as they cool. Cut into squares with completely cool.
