I make these little wonderfully tasting gems, and they are so addicting Zelda. In fact I taught one of my brothers how to make them at least 30 years ago when he was a bachelor. He loves them with a big cold glass of milk. It is the only thing that he learned how to make. They definitely deserve a Blue Ribbon for their simplicity and ease in making and their wonderful taste.

I use to worry about the edges sticking, but as my family got older, I was told there was a reason..........."you need to scrap the pan and use the crumbs for ice-cream toppings" What an idea, family always knows best, and if anyone knows I'm going to make them, the cry comes out, "SAVE THE CRUMBS", even my new husband likes his ice-cream with "the toppings". (but you do need to scrape the edges as you are cutting up the squares).
Hope all you American "Just a Pinch " Friends are having a Great Thanksgiving :)
