Cassandra's Notes:

A delicious showstopper of a cookie. I make these cookies for Christmas, and more recently had a request for them for a wine tasting party. My father has proclaimed them "the most delicious cookie I have ever tasted". Mission Accomplished.

These are dynamite! Think ice cream sundae in cookie form! With their brownie-like cookie base and creamy cherry topper, we wiped out the first batch in record time. No shame in that, folks. You'll see what we mean when you give these a try for yourself!

I have to make these for sure for my meeting on Monday night, I assume when you say "milk chips" in the directions you mean "milk chocolate chips". Thanks for the recipe, it sounds wonderful and congrats on your blue ribbon, I wish I had one..... just sayin ;-)

What would be a tasty alternative to the rum flavoring? We're a "dry" household here. Thanks & congrats on the Blue Ribbon! =^..^=

Beauties indeed! Congrats on your well-deserved Blue Ribbon!

Fran, I have found rum extract in an alcohol free version. Check at your grocery store, you may find it. =)

Thank you everyone for the comments! My family loves this recipe, i am glad you all love it too.

Patti- Yes, milk chocolate chips. I prefer Guittards.

Fran- We are a Muslim household here, so you can absolutely get flavoring with no alcohol. Also for the non "dry" (or Muslim, lol) house holds, you can use actual brandy or rum. you will just have to adjust, because you would have to use a little more i think.

Thanks again everyone!
