I've had several people tell me these are the best cookies they ever ate. The perfect chewy brownie cookie with the crisp edges. Delicious!

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
The flavor of these cookies is oh-so amazing! We first tried them were still warm from the oven. The chocolaty gooeyness was to-die-for. And guess what... after they cooled they were still equally addictive!

Just ate my first cookie and I did use butter flavored crisco! Such a deep chocolate flavor, perfectly soft/ chewy!!!! They won't last very long in my house

Can I use butter flavored crisco instead of " shortening"?

Sorry it's late, but for future reference, I would package them wrapped in waxed paper covered with paper towels. Put em in an air tight container and send.
I have a similar recipe (on here I think) with Reece Peanut Butter chips and OOOOO soo good. Almost the same. Bout to post a "Not Your Typical Vanilla Bean Pie" I made up.
