This is a delicious protein packed, yet low fat candy recipe. You have to taste it to believe it. And its fun to ask people to guess the secret ingredient.

Ingredients

1 c
cooked pinto beans, unseasoned
3/4 c
cocoa
1/2 c
melted butter
1 Tbsp
vanilla (yes 1 tablespoon)
2 lb
powdered sugar
1 pinch
salt (do not add if beans have any salt in them)
1/2 c
chopped pecans

Step-By-Step

1Mash the beans. Mix them with the margarine, cocoa and vanilla. Stir in the sugar and pecans.
2Butter a 9 by 13 inch pan and spread the bean mixture in this. Put into the refrigerator and chill thoroughly. Cut into squares, serve.
