- 2 Tbsp

- semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c
- chopped walnuts - optional
1Butter a large glass or metal cookie sheet that has sides.
2Place sugar, butter and water in a heavy saucepan.
Bring to a boil; stir constantly. Cook until mixture reaches 320 degrees Fahrenheit on a candy thermometer.
3Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and mix well.
Pour onto cookie sheet.
4Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot candy. As chocolate softens, spread over candy, then sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts.
When cooled, crack into pieces.
