1Combine sugar,butter and water in heavy saucepan.
2cook to 300* or hard crack stage stirring constantly.
3add vanilla.Pour into buttered 9x9 x1 1/2" pan.Cool 5 minutes then break candy bar 4 1/2 oz.into pieces and put on top let melt then spread evenly over top of candy, sprinkle 1/2 cup finely chopped pecons . let cool completely so chocolate is totally set firm.
4my tip for breaking into more even pieces is taking a sharp metal spatula, and take a small hammer and tap into strips and then across to make squares, just makes for prettier candy but you can just break into pieces also Enjoy!!!
