- 10 ounce jar of maraschino cherries with stems
- 1/2 c
- brandy (optional but so fun)
- 1 pkg
- semisweet chocolate baking squares, chopped
1Drain maraschino cherries and return to jar. Pour brandy, if using, in jar. Cover with a lid freeze 8 hours. Drain cherries and pat dry, reserving brandy for another use.
2Melt two-thirds of chocolate in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until a candy thermometer reaches 115 degrees and chocolate is smooth.
3Dip cherries, quickly into melted chocolate, coating well. Place cherries on wax paper, stem sides up and cool.
4Keep out of reach of the kids.
