This is my favorite fudge. I have been making it for over 35 years. I can't have the holidays without it.

Ingredients

3 c
sugar
2/3 c
cocoa, unsweetened
1/8 tsp
salt
1 1/2 c
evaporated milk
1/4 c
margarine
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 1/2 c
pecans, in pieces

Step-By-Step

1Combine all ingredients in medium size pan.
2Bring to boil continue cooking till soft ball stage. 234 degree soft ball stage.
3Stirring ocassionaly to keep from burning.
4Remove from heat add butter,vanilla and pecans.
5Do not stir for 3-5 minutes
6Stir and pour in buttered pan
7cool then cut in squares
