As I was searching for a new and delicious blackberry recipe, I just wasn't satisfied with those that I found. So, instead I took ideas from here and there and made my own. It was a huge hit with my husband who loves blackberries! This certainly isn't a calorie friendly cake, but it is so worth the calories. Enjoy!

I saved this recipe, looks so good. When I was little, dad would go berry picking and mom had a time trying to get us girls to eat them, so she would whip up a white cake mix for cupcakes and drop a few berries in each one. I still remember the sour berries surrounded by the sweet cake. alot of memories there.

It reminds me of Bisquick Impossible pies....I think a mixture of peaches and blackberries would be perfect!

can you give me any hints on how I can possibly have the blackberries in the middle of the cake as well as the bottome. If I put them in the middle how can I prevent them from falling on the bottom and and than put some on the bottom of the pan before putting batter in the bundt pan. Please help.

Roll your berries in flour before adding to the wet mixture and they will not all fall to the bottom.

I am not a fan of blackberries but my oldest son just loves anything with them in it, i will enjoy making this for him,ty for the recipe.

Just made this tonight with some frozen blackberries I had in the freezer. Very good, a keeper for sure!

Cindy - evidently you haven't tried the "blackberry cake w/cream cheese filling" that is in this site -except I used unsweetened grape juice instead of the wine -- very very moist and blackberry flavored - I made mine in a 9x13 and just topped it with the filling, mixing extra blackberries into the filling. --it is to die for - "DELISH"
