Papa's Lite Pineapple Pudding cake

My father not a big fan of heavy sweet cakes, but loves his pineapple. I made him a pineapple jello cake last year and set off to do the same, forgot the jello so lucky for me I gathered other pantry items to make him this yummy cake for his birthday.
Happy 75th Birthday Papa!!!

Ingredients

yellow cake mix

8oz can lite pineapple with half juice reserved

splenda packets or 1/2 cup sugar

small box sf vanilla pudding
2 c
skim milk

lite coolwhip

Directions Step-By-Step

Bake yellow cake according to package directions and let cool.

While cooling make pudding, set aside in refrigerator.
Combine pineapple and half reserved juice with sugar and stir.

Poke holes in cake with wooden spoon handle.
Pour pineapple mix over cake.
Spread pudding over.

Top with coolwhip and refrigerate (about hour) Before serving.
Optional can fold coconut or pineapple into coolwhip.
