Ingredients

| 1/2 c | butter or margarine |
| 1 1/4 c | boiling water |
| 1 1/2 c | all purpose flour |
| 1 tsp | baking soda |
| 1 tsp | cinnamon |
| 1/2 tsp | nutmeg |

| 1 c | brown sugar |
| 3/4 c | white sugar |

Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Put oats, butter, and boiling water in a bowl for 20 min. and cover. After 20 min. add eggs one at a time, beating after each one on medium speed.combine dry ingredients. Add sugar and flour mixture and beat on medium till combined well.Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan or use Bakers Joy. Bake 25 to 30 min or until tests done.Topping. Melt 6 T. butter,2/3 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup canned cream, 1 cup coconut, 1 cup chopped nuts, and 1 tsp vanilla. Boil butter, sugar, and cream till combind. Stir in vanilla, coconut, and nuts. Spread over warm cake and broil 3 to 5 min or until brown and bubbly. Let cool and serve.
