cathy's notes for this recipe:
This has been handed down from my grandmother. According to my daughter it is the best pound cake she has ever eaten!! It has won several first place ribbons at various events.

Cream butter and sugar very well - this is the secret to the success of the cake. Then reduce speed on the mixer and add eggs, one at a time. Add flavoring, then flour a little at a time. Put in cold oven; turn on oven to 300 degrees and bake 1 hour or until spaghetti noodle stuck into center of cake comes out clean.

Do you bake this in a standard loaf pan or a bundt pan? By the amount of flour I am guessing a loaf pan! The recipe seems like it would be classic and delicious! Thanks! T.
