My Grandmas Thundercake

This wonderful old recipe comes from a children's storybook that I came across when I was shelving away books in a school library. The book by Patricia Polacco entitled "My Grandma's Thunder cake is one of a series of kid's books with easy recipes included in the story. One other that comes to mind is "A Cranberry Thanksgiving" with a recipe included by Wende Devlin So if you have some junior chefs in your family you may want to get together with the kids and make this yummy cake. I have made it before and it was really good.
Happy cooking and Enjoy.
