Ingredients

1/2 c
butter, room temperature

1/2 c
applesauce
2 c
sugar
1 c
flour
1 c
cocoa powder
1 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 medium
eggs

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Preheat oven to 175 Celsius or 350 Farenheit. Grease a 13x9 pan or just spray with PAM
2
Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl
3
Mix until well combined then give it a few extra beats to develop the gluten in the flour and make the brownies a little more chewy
4
Pour into pregreased pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean. You want them to still be a little "uncooked" to the eye because they will continue to cook a little when you remove them from the oven. Be careful you don't mistake a melted chocolate chip for the batter still being uncooked!!!

these were really nice and easy to throw together. i sprinkled the choc chips on top at the end, i think i should've mixed them through to have a consistent fudginess, but they were still great. thanks!
