Fruit Cocktail Cake

This is a cake my Grandmother would make .
My Dad requested it on his birthday every year, tho we had it more often than 1x a year.

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
2 c
flour
2 tsp
baking soda
2 large
eggs
1 large
can of fruit cocktail w/juice
1 stick
butter, cold
3/4 c
sugar
1/2 can(s)
evaperated canned milk
3 tsp
vanilla
1/2 c
coconut
1/4 c
brown sugar

Step-By-Step

1combine-
1 1/2 cups sugar - 1/2 tsp salt -2 tsp soda -
2 cups of flour
2add -
2 eggs - 1 large can of fruitcocktal w/juice -
3Mix and pour into greased 8x12 cake pan. Sprinkle brown sugar over cake.
Cook in preheated 350degree oven for 45 minutes
4in a sauce pan add--- butter-sugar-evaperated milk.

Cook until thick.
ADD-vanilla-coconut
5frost cake when cool.
