EVELYN's Story

I HAD THIS CAKE AT A FAMILY FUNCTION AND IT WAS SO GOOD! IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER IN BAKING THIS WOULD BE A GREAT CAKE TO START WITH! LEAVE ME A NOTE AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU LIKE IT!!

Ingredients

2 can(s)
cherry pie filling
2 can(s)
crushed pinneapples
1 box
yellow cake mix
1 stick
butter
1 pkg
pecans, in pieces (optional)
DUMP CAKE

Directions Step-By-Step

1
FIRST USE A ALUMINUM SQUARE OR RECTANGLE PAN (DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH YOU USE, IF YOU USE A LARGE PAN ADD MORE FRUIT) OPEN ALL FOUR CANS DUMP THE CHERRY FILLING IN FIRST THEN THE PINEAPPLE CANS. NEXT, SPREAD THE FRUIT OUT EVENLY THROUGHOUT THE PAN. THEN OPEN THE BOX OF STORE BOUGHT YELLOW CAKE (ANY BRAND) SPREAD THE DRY CAKE MIX ALL OVER THE TOP OF THE FRUIT UNTIL IT IS COVERING ALL THE FRUIT. NEXT, TAKE AT LEAST 1 STICK OF BUTTER AND SLICE IT THINLY COVERING THE CAKE MIX. THIS WILL GIVE IT SOME MOISTER AND LASTLY, YOU CAN ADD THE PECANS ON TOP AND THIS IS OPTIONAL.
2
BAKE THIS UNCOVERED FOR 35 TO 40 MINUTES KEEP AND EYE ON IT. TAKE IT OUT THE OVEN LET IT COOL AND SERVE WITH ICE CREAM OR WHIP CREAM. IT IS SIMILAR TO A COBBLE, ACCEPT YOUR USING YELLOW CAKE MIX.
SERVE AND ENJOY!!
3
DUMP CAKE IS JUST WHAT IT SAYS AN EASY CAKE WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING SWEET. THERE ARE MANY VERSIONS OF DUMP CAKE. YOU CAN ALSO USE PEACHES STRAWBERRIES AND BLUEBERRIES. THIS IS ALSO A GOOD CAKE TO GET YOUR KIDS IN THE KITCHEN! ENJOY!

Miss Evelyn.... I feel we have connections, my Mom's middle name was Evelyn and she was from Gresham, SC. Mom had a sister that lived in Radcliff, KY and we use to have to drive through Covington, KY to get to her house when we'd drive down there for Thanksgiving every year! Can't WAIT to try your recipe!
