So easy, but you have to do exactly what the recipe says. Do not double the batch, it doesn't work. I use a little, tiny Pyrex bowl. I use a vanilla cake mix

Ingredients

1 box
angel food cake mix
1 box
regular cake mix any flavor (no pudding in the cake mix)
2 Tbsp
water

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Mix the two cake mixes together very well. You need to store this in a resealable container. I use a ziplock gallon sized bag.
2
In a small bowl mix 3T. of cake mixture and 2T. of water. Put it in tiny bowl. If you want to mix this in the same bowl you will cook it in scrape down the sides very well.
3
Microwave this batter for 1 minute. Let it cool down and put it on a dessert plate.
4
It's good with fruit ond whipped cream on top. Also lemon curd is good. It's our favorite.

Cheryl, 123 or 321 doesn't matter...it's the same.
WW's calls it 321 only because of how you make it..3T mix, 2T water and 1 minute in the microwave.

And you are right vanilla is versatile.

Gee Julie, actually, my friends all call it 123 Cake. We "empty-nesters" usually just use a vanilla cake mix because we find that it takes forever to use up different flavors and the vanilla is much more versatile.

Julie this is as WW recipe (actually they call it 321 cake).
The angel food mixed with a lemon cake mix has only Weight Watcher Points Plus = 3, each serving (usually you can get 30 to 33 servings out of the mix).
Most flavors are about the same....you can also mix sugar-free cake mixes with the angel food cake mix.

Been making this for a couple years now, in all kinds of flavors...I keep it mixed in a (tightly sealed) tupperware bowl so all I have to do is "shake it up and measure out what I want".
I have a microwave muffin pan I make it in that makes 6 at a time (ofcourse I have to adjust my time making 6-all at one time).
