I stumbled into this by shear accident one day and WHAMMO! a new favorite in the family. It is a savory variation on an old favorite.

A great way to start your morning or for an anytime treat.

Ingredients

2/3 c
oatmeal, uncooked
2/3 c
water
orange, lemon or lime juice
salt and black pepper to taste
any other savory seasoning of your choice

Directions Step-By-Step

Place oatmeal and water in a microwave safe bowl and cook on High for 2 minutes. Oatmeal will come out stiff in consistency.

Remove from microwave and add the citrus juice of your choice. (Lime is my favorite for a fresh pop of flavor). Mix juice in well and add the seasoning mixing again.

Serve warm and enjoy.

For a sweeter variation add fresh fruit.
