chopped peach or apple
snipped pitted dates or whole raisins
In a medium saucepan bring the water and salt to boiling.
Stir in oats, 3/4 cup of the peach, the dates, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Simmer, uncovered, for 3 minutes (for quick oats) or 5 minutes (for regular oats), stirring occasionally.
Cover and let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Top with remaining 1/4 cup peach.
If desired, serve with fat-free milk.
