Creamy Charleston Cheesy Curry Grits

I love grits! One day I was experimenting for something different and came up with this recipe.

Now it's almost hard to go back to just plain grits:) I love this so much!

Warning this is not for the lifelong dieter! It is decadent,rich, and God only knows how many calories and fat there are! Which is why I only indulge once in a blue moon, but it is sooo worth it!

It also lends itself well to other flavor combinations. I've used green chilies and chipotle seasoning with excellent results.

Ingredients

1 1/4 c
rinsed stone ground grits
1 1/2 c
boiling water
2 c
heavy cream
2 c
whole milk
1 Tbsp
salt
1 tsp
pepper
1/4 lb
butter
1/2 tsp
curry
1/2 tsp
tumeric
2
large spoonfulls of pub sharp chedder cheese (or sharp chedder of your choice)

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine the rinsed grits with the boiling water. Simmer 20-30 minutes. While adding the remaining ingredients. Stir often it is easy to burn if your not careful!

Chills and stores well. Easy to nuke.
