Ingredients

1 c
oats/ steel cut oats
3 1/3 c
liquid

Cook on low for 8 hours. These are the basic ingredients, I say "liquid" because I use the juice from canned fruits as part of the "water" in this recipe! The picture shown is cinnamon maple cranberry. I made this with dried cranberries, all the liquid was water, I just added some maple and brown sugar to sweeten a little!
You can add dried fruits & nuts, any canned fruit works great, fresh fruit, Ive even made it with diced winter squash! (shhh dont tell the kids!)
this is a wonderful, filling recipe you can do nearly anything with!
I Love the creativity with this one!
Hope you enjoy!

This is great, I'm gonna have to make it. My hubby loves oatmeal, and this could be ready when he wakes up!! do you cook it on low?

You make this in the little crockpot right? I wish I had more recipes for it as our household has downsized.
I wonder if I could use the steel cut oats....love the flavor of them. I always add vanilla extract to my oatmeal water.

Thanks I will try that....oatmeal for breakfast!
My hubby says IF he were going to eat oatmeal, he'd eat mine, I add vanilla extract, toasted walnuts, brown sugar....it's more like a cookie when I get done. lol He's not going to of course, someone told him it was healthy, the kiss of death for any recipe. lol.....If he only knew
