The sauce for this recipe is so versatile. I used it both here and in my Butterscotch Pumpkin Monkey Bread from Scratch Recipe.

butterscotch pumpkin sauce (see recipe)
1 c
irish oatmeal or scottish porridge
enough water to cook oatmeal to your desired consistency
1 tsp
vanilla
1 tsp
flax seeds (optional)
1 pinch
salt
1 Tbsp
dark brown sugar

Prepare this recipe ahead of time.
Butterscotch Pumpkin Sauce

Boil oats. About 1 minute into boiling, add the rest of the ingredients, save the Sauce.

When oats are cooked through, ladle into a bowl and top with a spoonful or two of Butterscotch Pumpkin Sauce.
