Pat's Story

This is a wonderful recipe I got from my friend in Frankenmuth, Michigan' when I last visited there , about 4 years ago.
Kids love these; can be dipped in Maple syrup or other flavor syrup!
(as a nanny I can attest to this)

Ingredients

4 large
frozen or fresh waffles
5 Tbsp
unsalted butter
8 Tbsp
granulated sugar
1/2 to 1 tsp
ground cinnamon

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Cut each waffle into about 8 strips.
Melt the butter with the sugar and cinnamon in a medium skillet(fry about 8 strips per batch; over medium heat.
add the waffle sticks and cook, turning often, until caramelized and crisp, about 2 to 3 minutes per batch.
2
These are great dipped in:
Marshmallow dip:
1 jar marshmallow creme
1/2 c. heavy cream
Combine in blender and pulse until well blended.
