ITALIAN SWEET BREAD (SALLYE)

- warm milk (105º)
- 1 large
- egg, slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp
- extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 c
- granulated sugar
- 3 c
- all purpose or bread flour
- 1 tsp
- sea salt
- 1 Tbsp
- italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 pkg
- rapid rise dry yeast (1/4 oz size)
PLACE INGREDIENTS IN BREAD MACHINE IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER
1Place all ingredients in bread machine in the order listed above.
Set cycle for basic bread, browned
Set timer for rapid cook (mine is 2 hours)
Turn bread machine on and forget until it dings
2Remove from machine while still hot and brush with melted butter or olive oil.
If not serving immediately, leave on rack until cooled.
Do not wrap bread until it is cooled, or it will sweat and get soggy.
