Best Corn Bread Dressing

- 2 Tbsp
- 4 tsp
- baking powder
- egg slightly beaten
- 2 c
- white corn meal
- 1 1/2 tsp
- 1 1/2 c
- cold milk
- 1 pkg
- roll sage jimmy dean sausage
- large bell pepper, diced
- large onion, diced
- 1 can(s)
- 15 oz chic broth
- 1 pinch
- cajun poultry seasoning
- 4 Tbsp
- melted butter
1(PRE-HEAT OVEN @450) Mix first 6 ingredients til moistened, pour into greased 9x13 baking pan. BAKE for 20-25 minutes. LET SET OVER NIGHT COVERED LIGHTLY W/ TEA TOWEL.
saute veggies in 2 tbsp butter til soft add seasonings & salt & pepper to taste.
3remove veggies from pan & set aside
Brown sausage til done, add veggies.
4crumble corn bread til sum med. chunks are left and fine crumbles.
5WITH HANDS fold in meat & veggie mix
6add enough Chicken Broth to moisten, but not soggy.
7Grease 9x13 pan & put in dressing.
Drizzle remaining 2 tbsp melted butter
8Bake @ 350 til crumbs are golden brown.
Serve w/ Turkey, Pork, or Chicken
9Can be made vegetarian style w/ meatless adaptions
