2Mix the 3 filling ingredients with a mixer and set aside.
3Hand mix (IMPORTANT to Hand Mix) the ingredients for the bread till mixture is moist, be careful not to over mix. Put 1/2 of bread mixture into prepared pan & smooth to edges of pan. Next cover with the filling & smooth to edges of pan. Lastly top with the remaining bread mixture spreading it evenly and topping with the garnish & press the pecans into bread - so they bake into bread.
4Bake till toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean & mixture is solid when you lift the pan and shake it, I usually check first at 1 hr. Cool for at least 15 minutes on a cooling rack and then remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing with a serrated knife. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
