Kimi's Notes:

We always go to the Spanish Bakery while in St. Augustine. They have great bread, cookies, & sausage in the bread dough. This is a favorite of my sons. I made a lot of different filings to go inside. Easy and delicious.

Directions

1
Thaw out the dough (it comes frozen). I let it rise in the pkg. Roll out pieces of dough in the length of you sausage. Place filing on the bottom, sausage on top. Cover to secure. Bake in a 400F oven for 30 minutes.

I love this idea, one of my old boy friends use to bring me an italian bread his mother would make it was stuffed with cheeses and italian sausage and herbs, it was delicious, she would always make it when she would make oysters. Does the sausage cook along with the bread or do you pre cook it?

Had something like this once in N.J. It was with Italian sausage, peppers, onions & mozzarella cheese. They called it a "TOOTSIE ROLL" Going to try yours with Kielbasi & Sauerkraut with some hot mustard dip!!! Please send the antacid! OH, I forgot..... I work for a "drugstore!!!!!! HA HA HA!!! (I'm still going to "market" it to the kids as a TOOTSIE ROLL) they'll get a kick out of it!!!! Thanks for the memory!...:):):)
