3 - 4 tablespoons ice water
Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender. ( I just use a fork.) Add ice water to moisten flour.
Form into a ball. Chill for about an hour. Roll out and fit into a 9-inch pie pan.
Soften butter and spread over bottom of pastry. Sprinkle sugar and flour over butter. Bake at 400 degrees until pastry is brown.
