Ingredients

1 lg loaf or french bread
1 stk (cube) of soft butter
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 clove garlic
1/4 - 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese ( fresh grated ..not the type in the green can)

Karla's Notes:

My daughter got this recipe from her mother in-law Diana.

Everybody just loves this bread when she brings it to a family gathering.

This is not a crisp bread but you can place it under the broiler for a few seconds to crisp up if desired.

 

Directions

Slice French bread loaf into thick slices , but keeping the loaf intact.

Pressed garlic cloves through a garlic press and mix into the soft butter ; Add olive oil and the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until creamy.

Place butter mixture between each slice on french loaf ; Wrap loaf in aluminum foil and Bake @ 400° for 10-12 minutes.

Sounds very good... But when and where do you use the olive oil??? do you put it in the butter mix???

Oh yea... is a cube of butter half cup..like one stick of butter. i want to make this...

1 cube equals 1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter.

Brenda thanks for pointing that out about the olive oil and yes you do add it to the butter , I went and edited it in. :)
